The USS Thomas Hudner (DDG-116) is an Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer commissioned in 2018 and named in honor of Navy aviator Thomas Jerome Hudner Jr. — a man who crash-landed his own aircraft to save a fellow pilot’s life and was awarded the Medal of Honor for it. The ship carries that same spirit of sacrifice into every deployment.
