Operation Iraqi Freedom & Operation New Dawn Legacy

From March 20, 2003 through December 18, 2011, over 1.5 million U.S. service members deployed to Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom (2003-2010) and Operation New Dawn (2010-2011). They fought with valor from Baghdad to Fallujah, from Mosul to Basra, facing urban combat, counterinsurgency operations, and nation-building missions.
