Made with 100% ring-spun, pre-shrunk piqué cotton that is sustainably grown and harvested in the US. Each polo shirt comes with welt-knit collars to resist unwanted curling while the classic three-button placket features pearlized buttons held together by durable cross-stitching and offers a timeless touch that is reinforced at the bottom with a box-stitch.

AAC - 22BG - 2nd BS - B-24 - 5th AF

  • 22nd Bombardment Group
    The 22BG transitioned from B-25/B-26 to B-24s in February 1944 at Nadzab, New Guinea. The 22BG operated from the Netherlands East Indies, Philippines, and Okinawa. Some of the squadrons in the 22BG were the 2d, 19th, 33d, and 408th.

    2nd Bombardment Squadron
    The 2d BS was part of the 22nd Bombardment Group.

    B-24 Liberator
    The B-24 was a heavy bomber designed by Consolidated Aircraft of San Diego, California. It was used in every theater of operations during World War II, including the Pacific, where its range was useful for bombing Japan.

    5th Air Force
    The 5th Air Force was originally activated in September 1941 as the Philippine Department Air Force. It was re-designated as the Far East Air Force (FEAF) the following month, and then became the 5th Air Force on February 5, 1942. The 5th Air Force was a key component of the New Guinea campaign (1942–1945) and the Philippines campaign (1944–45). It also participated in the Battle of Okinawa in 1945
