About the M60 AVLB
Introduced in 1963 and developed by the US Army Engineer Research & Development Laboratories under contract with General Dynamics, the M60 AVLB replaced the M48 AVLB and became a cornerstone of combat engineering — capable of deploying a 60-foot scissors-type bridge in minutes.
