Die-Cut Magnets - DUI - 7th Infantry Division X 300
The 47th Infantry Division ("Viking Division") was a United States Army National Guard unit from 1946 to 1991, composed of units from Minnesota and North Dakota, which never deployed to combat but served as a federalized replacement division during the Korean War. The division's Distinctive Unit Insignia (DUI), or unit crest, was a Viking targe with a red border and blue color, representing fearlessness and the color of the infantry. This division was eventually deactivated in 1991 and its former units were reactivated as the 34th Infantry Division.
