The 2nd General Hospital was the name for the U.S. military hospital in Landstuhl, Germany, before it was officially renamed Landstuhl Army Medical Center in 1994 and then Landstuhl Regional Medical Center (LRMC) in 2003. Located near Ramstein Air Base, LRMC remains the largest overseas U.S. hospital and is the primary American medical facility in Europe, serving as a Level II Trauma Center and evacuating and treating injured U.S. and coalition forces.
