The 25th Infantry Division (nicknamed "Tropic Lightning")[1] is a United States Army division based at Schofield Barracks in Hawaii.
Desert Storm
Very few of the division's units participated in Operation Desert Storm, due to the division being earmarked for Pacific contingencies, such as a renewal of hostilities in Korea. However, during the Gulf War, one platoon each from Companies A, B and C, 4th Battalion, 27th Infantry, deployed to Saudi Arabia in January 1991.
