She served. She answered the call. This tee honors the women of the Women's Army Corps (WAC) — the trailblazing unit that proved military service knew no gender.
Established on 15 May 1942 as the Women's Army Auxiliary Corps (WAAC) and elevated to full active-duty status on 1 July 1943, the WAC served with distinction through World War II and the Cold War era. Under the leadership of its first director, Colonel Oveta Culp Hobby, WAC members filled critical roles across intelligence, communications, logistics, and command support — freeing combat soldiers for the front while holding the line at home and abroad.
The WAC was officially disbanded on 20 October 1978, its mission complete: its members fully integrated into the United States Army alongside their male counterparts — a milestone in American military history.
Wear it with pride. Wear it with purpose.
