The 1st Battalion, 83rd Field Artillery Regiment answered the call in 1966 — shipping out from Fort Sill, Oklahoma, into the jungles and highlands of Vietnam. From Bear Cat to Nui Dat, Xuan Loc to Phu Bai, these Soldiers served with distinction until the Battalion stood down in 1971.
