The first week of February 1958 found the 46th FA Group believed of all its attachments.and transferred to Fort Sill, Oklahoma, with one officer and 42 enlisted men. Shortly afterwards the Group was redesignated as the 46th Field Artillery Group (Redstone)
On 24 June 1958 the 46th Artillery Group was again reorganized, the 2d Missile Battalion's Headquarters and Headquarters Battery was disbanded and the firing batteries, A and B, were assigned to the 46th Artillery Group. 9 July 1958, Headquarters USAA&MC, Fort Sill issued GO #72 which once more redesignated the Group
