UNIT HISTORY
The 93rd Infantry Division was a segregated "colored" unit of the United States Army, serving in both World War I and World War II. In WWI, its regiments fought primarily under French command and saw distinguished action during the Second Battle of the Marne — earning recognition from Allied forces even as they faced discrimination at home. Their service helped lay the groundwork for the desegregation of the U.S. military.
