Unit History
The 84th Training Command ("Railsplitters") is a storied formation of the United States Army. Designated the 84th Division during WWI and the 84th Infantry Division in WWII, the unit served with distinction across both World Wars. Reorganized as the 84th Airborne Division from 1946–1952, and later as the 84th Division in 1959, it commanded over 4,100 soldiers across eight brigades spanning seven states, headquartered in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
