Unit History
The 7th Engineer Brigade was activated at Fort Belvoir in 1948. Redesignated as the 7th Engineer Aviation Brigade in 1951, the unit oversaw all U.S. aviation construction across France, Germany, and Italy. Renamed back to the 7th Engineer Brigade in 1956, it managed NATO construction projects critical to rebuilding Western Europe in the aftermath of World War II — stationed at Ludendorff Kaserne, Kornwestheim, FRG.
