Unit History
The 17th Cavalry Regiment was constituted on 1 July 1916 in the Regular Army following the Pancho Villa Expedition, originally stationed at Fort Bliss, Texas. The 5th Squadron served as part of the 2nd Infantry Division (2nd ID) and was stationed at Camp Stanton, Korea — a Cold War posting that defined a generation of cavalrymen.
This sweatshirt is a tribute to their service, their sacrifice, and the unit that shaped them.
