Unit History
The 17th Cavalry Regiment was constituted on July 1, 1916 in the Regular Army at Fort Bliss, Texas, following the Pancho Villa Expedition. The regiment carries a proud lineage of service, including operations on the Korean Peninsula where the 2nd Infantry Division — the "Indianhead" — maintained a steadfast presence at Camp Pelham.
Proudly made for those who served and those who remember.
