Unit History
Redesignated on 1 August 1966 as the 44th Signal Battalion, allotted to the Regular Army, and activated in Vietnam. Inactivated on 1 March 1970 in Vietnam, reactivated on 17 March 1972, and finally inactivated on 3 June 1972 at Oakland, California after returning to the United States.
