31st Engineer Battalion — "We Demonstrate"

Constituted 1940. Proven in combat. Worn with pride.

The 31st Engineer Battalion didn't earn its motto in a briefing room. From its activation at Fort Belvoir in 1940 — through redesignation as the 31st Engineer Combat Battalion in December 1941, and its evolution into the 31st Engineer Combat Regiment by August 1942 — this unit demonstrated what combat engineers do best: they build, breach, and lead the way under fire.

This hoodie is a tribute to that legacy. Every stitch is a nod to the soldiers who shaped the battlefield so others could advance.

Built for the mission. Made for the long haul.

  • Fabric: 50/50 cotton-polyester blend, preshrunk for lasting shape and minimal shrinkage
  • Construction: Front pouch pocket, matching drawstring, ribbed cuffs and waistband
  • Fit: True-to-size with a structured silhouette — size up for a relaxed fit
  • Colors: Black, Navy, White
  • Sizes: S – 2XL

Printed and shipped from the USA. Designed for veterans, collectors, and those who carry the history forward.

Wear the history. Honor the mission.

Unit History

The 31st Engineer Battalion was originally constituted as the 31st Engineer Company on 1 July 1940 and activated at Fort Belvoir, Virginia. The unit was reorganized, expanded, and redesignated on 15 December 1941 as the 31st Engineer Combat Battalion. On 29 April 1942 the unit was reorganized and redesignated as the 1st Battalion, 31st Engineers (Combat), and then again on 1 August 1942 as the 31st Engineer Combat Regiment.
