Unit History: The Korea Years
Before its service in Germany, the 24th Engineer Construction Group landed at Pusan, Korea, on 7 December 1950. Commanded by Colonel Emil F. Klinke, the group arrived from Fort Belvoir with only one attached unit, the 402nd Engineer Panel Bridge Company. Over the next two years, many units served with the 24th, from Madong to Seoul.
