The 3rd Special Forces Group (Airborne) is one of the Army's premier special operations units, specializing in operations in Africa and the Middle East. Based at Fort Liberty (formerly Fort Bragg), North Carolina, the 3rd SFG is responsible for operations in the U.S. Africa Command (AFRICOM) and parts of Central Command (CENTCOM) areas of responsibility.
