About the 5th Squadron, 17th Cavalry — Korea
The 5th Squadron, 17th Cavalry Regiment (5-17 ACS) is an air cavalry squadron assigned to the 2nd Combat Aviation Brigade, 2nd Infantry Division ROK-U.S. Combined Division, operating from the Korean Peninsula. Equipped with the AH-64E v6 Apache attack helicopter and the RQ-7B Shadow unmanned aircraft surveillance system, the squadron maintains a forward presence that has been critical to the U.S.-ROK alliance for decades. Soldiers who served at Camp Stanley and earned the Korean Defense Service Medal stood on one of the most strategically vital frontlines in the world.
The mission never sleeps. Neither did they.
An ideal gift for 5-17 Cavalry Korea veterans, KDSM recipients, Air Cav soldiers, and Korean Peninsula service veterans.
