Kentucky's Cold War Cavalry. Never Forgotten.

In the shadow of the Iron Curtain, the soldiers of the 240th Cavalry Regiment stood watch — Kentucky Guardsmen answering a global call. This premium 15oz white ceramic mug honors the veterans of this storied regiment, featuring the unit insignia alongside the Cold War Service ribbon as a lasting tribute to their vigilance and sacrifice.

From Owensboro to the Front Lines of the Cold War

The 240th Cavalry (Kentucky Mounted Rifles) was rooted in Owensboro, Kentucky — a hometown regiment with a national mission. Constituted in 1980 as part of the Kentucky Army National Guard's 149th Armored Brigade, these soldiers trained and served during one of the most consequential periods in American military history. Though the regiment was disbanded in 1985, the service of every soldier who wore the patch endures.
