Unit History
Attack Squadron 165 (VA-165), known as the "Boomers," was a U.S. Navy attack squadron established in 1960. Initially flying the A-1 Skyraider and later the A-6 Intruder, the squadron was known for its all-weather attack capabilities, participating in significant operations during the Vietnam War and beyond before being disbanded in 1996.
