Airborne Badge - Jump Wings
In US Special Operations Forces (SOF), the "Airborne Badge" usually refers to the Military Parachutist Badge, earned by completing Army Airborne School, signifying qualification for standard parachute jumps, with Senior/Master levels for more jumps/experience, plus Combat Jump Devices (stars) for combat jumps. SOF personnel also earn the Military Free-Fall Parachutist Badge (MFF), a distinct badge for High Altitude Low Opening/High Altitude High Opening (HALO/HAHO) jumps, with basic, master (wreath/star), and combat star devices, signifying advanced SOF jumping skills.
Airborne qualification is a fundamental requirement for Army Special Forces soldiers. Green Berets must complete Airborne School to earn their jump wings before attending the Special Forces Qualification Course. Many SF soldiers go on to earn advanced parachutist qualifications including Military Free-Fall, enabling them to infiltrate by parachute into denied areas and conduct their missions.
Special Forces DUI - De Oppresso Liber
The Special Forces Distinctive Unit Insignia (DUI) features crossed arrows representing unconventional warfare capabilities, combined with the motto "De Oppresso Liber" (To Free the Oppressed). This insignia represents the unique mission and capabilities of Army Special Forces—conducting unconventional warfare, foreign internal defense, special reconnaissance, direct action, and counter-terrorism operations worldwide.
Army Special Forces soldiers are among the most highly trained and versatile warriors in the U.S. military. They master multiple languages, understand foreign cultures, train and lead indigenous forces, and conduct the full spectrum of special operations missions. Green Berets operate in small teams, often in the most dangerous and remote areas, relying on their training, skill, and courage to accomplish missions that conventional forces cannot.
Whether you are a Special Forces soldier, earned your Green Beret and jump wings, or appreciate the elite capabilities and unconventional warfare expertise of Army Special Forces, this t-shirt represents excellence, courage, and the proud legacy of the Green Berets.
Ideal for: Army Special Forces soldiers and veterans, Green Berets, airborne qualified SF personnel, special operations supporters, military reunions, veterans' families, and everyday wear.
Special Forces. Airborne. De Oppresso Liber. Green Berets.
