USS Michael Murphy (DDG-112) is an Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer commissioned on October 6, 2012. She is the first ship in the Navy named for a recipient of the Medal of Honor from the Global War on Terror. Homeported in Pearl Harbor, Hawaii, DDG-112 has deployed across the Pacific and beyond, conducting ballistic missile defense, surface warfare, and maritime security operations. Her crew carries the weight of her namesake’s legacy with pride — and with purpose.
