VietnamThe 2nd Battalion, 16th Infantry arrived in Vietnam on July 14, 1965. They built a base camp called "Camp Ranger" at Long Binh and fought in difficult conditions. The 2nd Battalion, 16th Infantry fought in operations such as MASTIFF, ABILENE, BIRMINGHAM, EL PASO, ATTLEBORO, CEDAR FALLS, and JUNCTION CITY.
