The 22nd Armored Division can refer to a few different units, most notably a British armored brigade and a US Army unit that existed in various forms. The British 22nd Armored Brigade was formed in 1939 and saw service during and after World War II. The US Army 22nd Armored Division was activated in 1947 as a reserve unit, but was redesignated as the 75th Infantry Division in 1952. There was also a 22nd Panzer Division in the German Wehrmacht, which fought on the Eastern Front during World War II.
