"82nd Engineer" refers to a component of the U.S. Army with various historical and present-day units, such as the 82nd Engineer Combat Battalion, known for its World War II service, and the 82nd Brigade Engineer Battalion, currently part of the 1st Brigade Combat Team, 1st Infantry Division ("Big Red One").
