The U.S. Army's 14th Cavalry Regiment was organized in 1901 and has a long history, including campaigns in the Philippines, patrols on the Mexican border, and service in Europe during the Cold War as part of the 14th Armored Cavalry Regiment. After being inactivated, it was reactivated in 2000 as part of a Stryker Brigade Combat Team, providing reconnaissance, surveillance, and target acquisition (RSTA) to this day.
