From Dragoons to Troopers. The Guidon Waves On.
Constituted on 2 March 1833 as Company B, United States Regiment of Dragoons, the lineage of the 2nd Squadron, 1st Cavalry Regiment spans nearly two centuries of American military history. From the Mexican War and Indian Wars to the Civil War, Spanish-American War, the Philippine Insurrection, and World War II — this squadron has answered every call.
In 1933, the troopers traded horses for tracked mounts. The mission never changed. The guidon never stopped waving.
This 15oz black ceramic mug honors that unbroken line of service — a daily tribute to the men who rode, rolled, and fought under the colors of the First Dragoons.
