About the Unit
The 2nd Infantry Division — the Indianhead Division, “Second to None” — has been continuously stationed in the Republic of Korea since the Korean War armistice in 1953, serving as the U.S. Army’s primary forward-deployed ground combat force on the peninsula. Camp Casey, located near Tong Du Chon in Gyeonggi Province, served as one of the division’s key installations, positioned close to the DMZ as part of the combined U.S.–ROK defense posture.
