Wear the Legacy of the Knight Riders.
From the flight decks of the Pacific to the annals of Naval aviation history, VA-52 — the Knight Riders — flew with precision, grit, and an unmatched warrior spirit. Now that legacy lives on in every stitch of this premium crewneck sweatshirt.
The iconic Knight Riders insignia — a battle-armored knight astride a charging tortoise against a bold target bullseye — is rendered in vivid detail on a heavyweight, pill-resistant fleece built for the long haul. Whether you served, you honor those who did, or you simply carry the standard of American military heritage, this sweatshirt is your statement.
Squadron History
VA-52 was established as VF-884 on 1 November 1949 and called to active duty on 20 July 1950. Redesignated VA-52 on 23 February 1959, the Knight Riders flew A-1 Skyraiders and later A-6 Intruders through Vietnam and beyond. The squadron was decommissioned on 31 March 1995 — but its legacy endures.
