On December 7, 1941, Japanese aircraft strafed Schofield Barracks — and the Military Police Platoon of the 25th Infantry Division answered the call. From that baptism of fire through the jungles of Guadalcanal, the Solomon Islands, and the liberation of Luzon, these soldiers upheld order under fire, guarded prisoners of war, protected command posts, and fought as light infantry when duty demanded it.
Redesignated as the 25th Military Police Company in 1949, the unit carried its legacy into Korea — earning two Meritorious Unit Commendations and two Republic of Korea Presidential Unit Citations across ten campaigns.
