Unit Heritage:
The 1st Cavalry Division (Airmobile) was the first full division-sized airmobile unit in U.S. Army history, deploying to Vietnam in 1965. The 2nd Battalion, 12th Cavalry Regiment fought as part of this storied division through some of the war's most consequential campaigns. The DUI represents the unit's proud lineage, while the Combat Infantryman Badge (CIB) stands as a permanent testament to the courage of every soldier who earned it — in combat, under fire, without question.
First Team. Always.
