Unit History
The 1st Battalion, 83rd Field Artillery Regiment was activated in 1966 at Fort Sill, Oklahoma. Deploying to Vietnam in October 1966, the Battalion served with distinction at Bear Cat, Nui Dat, Xuan Loc, and later Phu Bai — operating between Da Nang and Hue until standing down in 1971. This hoodie honors every round fired and every soldier who served.
