Troop A, 240th Cavalry Regiment — Cold War Veteran Hoodie
Owensboro, Kentucky · Kentucky Army National Guard · 149th Armored Brigade
Some service doesn't make the headlines — it holds the line. The 240th Cavalry (Kentucky Mounted Rifles) stood ready during one of the most defining chapters in American military history. This hoodie is a tribute to the men of Troop A who answered the call, stationed at Owensboro and prepared to move at a moment's notice.
Wear it as a reminder that Cold War service was real service.
Unit Heritage
The 240th Cavalry Regiment, constituted in 1980 as part of the Kentucky Army National Guard, carried the lineage of the Kentucky Mounted Rifles. Troop A served under the 149th Armored Brigade, headquartered in Owensboro, Kentucky, until the regiment was disbanded in 1985. Their vigilance during the Cold War era represents a generation of guardsmen who trained hard and stood ready — so others wouldn't have to fight.
