Unit History
Camp Mackall is an active U.S. Army training facility located in eastern Richmond County and northern Scotland County, North Carolina — south of Southern Pines and a subinstallation of Fort Liberty. It serves as the primary training site for candidates pursuing the coveted Green Beret, hosting Special Forces Assessment and Selection (SFAS) and the Q-Course. Since WWII, Camp Mackall has stood as the proving ground for those who dare to earn the right to serve in Army Special Forces.
