The Regiment's Story
Established in 1942, the 502nd Parachute Infantry Regiment jumped into history on D-Day, held the line at the Battle of the Bulge, and has since served in Vietnam, the Gulf War, Iraq, and Afghanistan. Today, the 1st and 2nd Battalions continue the mission as Air Assault units under the 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 101st Airborne Division.
