HISTORY
The 1st Battalion, 4th Field Artillery Regiment (1-4 FAR) is a field artillery branch regiment of the U.S. Army that traces its lineage back to the regiment's initial formation in 1907. The U.S. Army Field Artillery branch itself dates back to the American Revolution, when the Continental Congress elected Henry Knox as Colonel of the Regiment of Artillery in November 1775.
