Carry the Mission. Honor the Men.
Activated on June 1, 1944, the 502nd Bombardment Group was among the last combat groups formed by the Army Air Forces — and among the most consequential. Flying the legendary Boeing B-29 Superfortress from the island of Guam, they struck the Japanese home islands with precision and purpose. Their attacks on Japan’s oil industry from August 5–15, 1945 earned them the Distinguished Unit Citation — a testament to the courage and sacrifice of every airman who flew those missions.
After V-J Day, they flew show-of-force missions and brought prisoners of war home before being inactivated on April 15, 1946. Their legacy lives on.
Wear it with pride. This collection is crafted for veterans, history enthusiasts, and those who believe some stories must never be forgotten.
