The Vietnamese Rangers — Biệt Động Quân
They moved beyond the wire when others held the line.
The ARVN Rangers — Biệt Động Quân — were the elite light infantry of the Army of the Republic of Vietnam. Trained alongside American Special Forces and Ranger advisers, they executed deep-penetration search-and-destroy missions, retook captured territory, and later absorbed the Civilian Irregular Defense Group's Border Battalions to man the most remote outposts of the Central Highlands.
They were not a garrison force. They were the tip of the spear.
This design carries the Special Skills Identifier (SSI) scroll of the Vietnamese Ranger Advisor — a mark worn by U.S. soldiers who served, trained, and fought beside these warriors. It is a record of alliance, sacrifice, and uncommon valor.
