The DUI for the 35th Infantry Division consists of a three-leaf clover with the Roman numeral XXXV in the center, and a red and white "X" crossed in the lower half of the DUI. The "X" represents the 10th and 35th divisions, the clover signifies the "Santa Fe" Division's Missouri and Kansas National Guard origins, and the roman numeral XXXV represents the number 35. The DUI was originally adopted after World War I and has been in continuous use since its original authorization on August 25, 1917.
