About the 2nd Armored Division
Activated in 1940 and nicknamed "Hell on Wheels" by General George S. Patton himself, the 2nd Armored Division became one of the most decorated armored units in U.S. Army history. The division fought through North Africa, Sicily, France, Belgium, the Netherlands, and Germany during World War II, and later served as a Cold War deterrent force at Fort Hood, Texas and Garlstedt, West Germany. After distinguished service in the Persian Gulf War, the division was inactivated in 1995 — but its legend endures.
Wear the name. Pour the coffee. Remember the mission.
An ideal gift for 2nd Armored Division veterans, M1A1 tankers, Cold War veterans, Gulf War veterans, and armored warfare enthusiasts.
