Walter Reed Army Medical Center — A Legacy of Service

From 1909 to 2011, Walter Reed Army Medical Center (WRAMC) stood as the U.S. Army's flagship medical institution — a 113-acre landmark in the heart of Washington, D.C. that served over 150,000 active duty and retired service members across every branch of the military. Named for Major Walter Reed, the Army physician who proved yellow fever was transmitted by mosquitoes, WRAMC became synonymous with sacrifice, healing, and unwavering dedication to those who served.

This apparel honors that legacy. Whether you trained there, were treated there, or simply carry the memory of what it represented — wear it with pride.

Who This Is For

Veterans, active duty personnel, military families, and history-minded Americans who believe the stories of institutions like Walter Reed deserve to be remembered — and worn.

"The center grew from 80 beds to over 5,500 rooms. The mission never wavered."

In 2011, WRAMC merged with the National Naval Medical Center in Bethesda to form the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center (WRNMMC) — continuing its mission under a new name. The original campus now lives on as the Parks at Walter Reed. This piece keeps the original name alive.
