Unit History
Logistics Support Activity (LSA) Anaconda — also known as Camp Anaconda, FOB Anaconda, and later Contingency Operating Base (COB) Anaconda — was a massive US installation near Balad Air Base in Iraq, covering over 15 square miles. It served as a critical logistics and support hub throughout Operation Iraqi Freedom. Nearby FOB O'Ryan (formerly FOB Lion), located approximately 5 miles away, provided additional support services including communications infrastructure for troops in the area.
