The 502nd Infantry Regiment, originally designated the 502nd Parachute Infantry Regiment, is a unit of the U.S. Army's 101st Airborne Division, known as the "Screaming Eagles". The regiment has a long and distinguished history, particularly in World War II and the Vietnam War, and has been involved in numerous conflicts and peacekeeping operations since its activation in 1942.
