The 80th Infantry Division, nicknamed the "Blue Ridge Division," was formed in 1917 for World War I and served in France. It was reactivated in 1942 for World War II, landing in Normandy in August 1944 and fighting through France, the Battle of the Bulge, and deep into Germany and Austria. After being redesignated multiple times, the division is now the 80th Training Command.
