502nd Infantry. Screaming Eagles. From Normandy to Now.

The DUI, branch insignia, and service ribbon on this premium 15oz white ceramic mug tell the complete story of one of the most decorated regiments in the United States Army. The 502nd Infantry Regiment — originally the 502nd Parachute Infantry Regiment — has carried the 101st Airborne Division "Screaming Eagles" standard from the hedgerows of Normandy to the mountains of Afghanistan, earning its place among the Army's most storied fighting units.

Five Conflicts. One Standard. Never Quit.

Established shortly after US entry into World War II and assigned to the 101st Airborne Division, the 502nd PIR jumped into Normandy on D-Day, fought through Operation Market Garden, and held the line at Bastogne during the Battle of the Bulge. Inactivated in 1945 and reactivated in 1956, the regiment went on to serve in Vietnam, the Persian Gulf War, the Iraq War, the War in Afghanistan, and Operation Inherent Resolve. Reclassified as an Air Assault unit in 1974, the 502nd's 1st and 2nd Battalions are currently active, assigned to the 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault) at Fort Campbell, Kentucky.
