E Company, 52nd Infantry (LRP) was a 120-man long-range reconnaissance patrol unit that served with the 1st Cavalry Division (Airmobile) in Vietnam from 1967 to 1969. The unit was initially designated as "LRRP Detachment G2" and later became "Company E, 52nd Infantry (LRP)" on December 20, 1967. It played a significant role in the Vietnam War, including assisting in the siege of Khe Sanh and the reclaiming of the city of Hue. The unit was later redesignated as H Company, 75th Infantry (Ranger) and its lineage was inherited by the 2nd Ranger Battalion, 75th Ranger Regiment in 1974. The unit's legacy is marked by its bravery and contributions to the war effort.
