Masters of Heavy Equipment - Can Do!
Navy Equipment Operators are the specialists who operate heavy construction equipment including bulldozers, graders, scrapers, backhoes, front-end loaders, cranes, forklifts, dump trucks, and other heavy machinery. They are the Seabees who move earth, clear land, excavate foundations, lift heavy loads, and perform the earthwork operations that are fundamental to every construction project.
EO personnel operate equipment for construction tasks including site preparation, excavation, grading, road building, airfield construction, and materials handling. They operate bulldozers to clear vegetation and push earth, graders to level surfaces and build roads, backhoes to dig trenches and foundations, cranes to lift heavy materials and equipment, and countless other machines that enable construction operations. Their skill and precision with heavy equipment make them indispensable to the Seabee mission.
We Build, We Fight
What makes Navy Equipment Operators unique is their dual role as both skilled operators and combat-ready sailors. Seabees are trained to fight as well as build, and throughout history EO personnel have defended their equipment and construction sites while continuing their operations. From the island-hopping campaigns of World War II to modern operations in Iraq and Afghanistan, Equipment Operators have demonstrated courage under fire while building airfields, roads, and bases under combat conditions.
EO personnel deploy to some of the most challenging environments on earth—from combat zones to disaster areas, from the Arctic to the tropics. They operate heavy equipment in extreme conditions, often working long hours to meet critical construction deadlines. They build expeditionary airfields that enable air operations, construct roads that allow troop movement, excavate foundations for forward operating bases, and perform the earthwork that supports military operations and humanitarian missions.
Equipment Operators must master the operation of numerous types of heavy equipment, understanding the capabilities and limitations of each machine. They perform operator maintenance, conduct pre-operation inspections, operate equipment safely and efficiently, and ensure that construction tasks are completed to specification. At the master chief petty officer level, Equipment Operators merge with Construction Mechanics to become Master Chief Equipmentmen (EQCM), combining operational and maintenance expertise.
Whether you are a Navy Equipment Operator, want to honor a Seabee EO, or appreciate the skill required to operate heavy construction equipment, this t-shirt represents expertise, dedication, and the "Can Do" spirit that defines the Seabees.
Ideal for: Navy Equipment Operators and Seabee veterans, Naval Construction Force supporters, heavy equipment operators, veterans' families, and everyday wear.
Equipment Operator. Seabees. We Build, We Fight. Can Do!
