Kiss-Cut Vinyl Decals - DUI - 92d Infantry Division X 300
The 92nd Infantry Division, also known as the Buffalo Soldiers Division, was a segregated unit that served in both World Wars. It was organized in October 1917 at Camp Funston, Kansas, with African American soldiers from all states. The division distinguished itself during the Italian Campaign of World War II, being one of the few African American units to serve in combat. The division's nickname, "Buffalo Soldiers Division," was inherited from the 366th Infantry, one of the first units organized in the division. The division's history is marked by its unique composition, which included infantry, artillery, engineer, signal, medical, and supply elements, allowing it to operate independently and maintain sustainability while in operation. The division's experiences during World War II were characterized by segregation, disorganization, and mistrust between white leadership and the African American enlisted population. Despite these challenges, the 92nd Infantry Division earned an honored chapter in the history of World War II.
